Webiob is an online collection of iobs, which teach kids and adults the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. Simply put, a webiob is a website built around a book. The iob is the book. We call this book an iob because it’s interactive, it’s online and it’s a book. The Webiob uses interaction to help develop a better, more secure way of learning. Each iob is created by taking existing picture books, young reader books, adult reader books, cookbooks, self-help books etc. and by adding movie clips, animation, video, sound, music, narration, text and graphics, an interactive online book (iob) is produced which the reader can read, or have read to them.
Research has shown that this is the most effective way to learn. Webiob’s approach to working with publishers is unique in that we will create a personalized & Library collection of titles for each publisher which can be accessed on-line from every computer in an organization, school, home school, library or home with Internet connection. Each iob is viewed inside a website designed for the publisher which can be updateable. The iob may also be purchased through Webiob affiliates. The online experience will be kids friendly, internet safe and parents will thank you for providing this format.
